As mentioned before this is the best console that Sole have on their ellipticals. You can only find it on this E95 and the light commercial E98. It has a large blue screen that looks like a vehicle speedometer with it's various dials. This really makes a difference when you ride seeing all the information change in front of you. It's quite a motivational tool in itself.
The button layouts are similar to the others with your start and stop buttons helpfully closest to you. The other buttons clearly have their names on them so you know what they do. There's no problem changing the settings as you go and that's made even easier with thumb controls on the handlebars. I really liked this console and think it equals among the best I've seen and that's why it gets 5 stars.
With all the Sole Fitness ellipticals it's the programs that let them down. If you're buying the E95 to use the manual program and many do, then you can discard this 3 star score and concentrate on the others as they're impressive. This E95 elliptical like the others have only 10 programs. I'm not saying this is bad but with other ellipticals you get so much more.
I like the cardio program which is designed to get the heart beating. What will happen is the routine will take you through 3 small hills. They're not as high as the hill program. This gives you a slightly hard workout followed by an easier ride and this is repeated 3 times. At the end you then have a period where the incline decreases and you can cool down. This is definitely one I would use a lot.
Another program is called strength. This is a bit like the hill program but with a far longer and bigger peak. You start off with the settings low and in time the resistance and incline keeps increasing and increasing. When you finally get to the top the levels stay high for a long period. This will strengthen the lower body and give you a better shape. You don't need to use this program often as it's a tiring one.
A good feature in the E95 that isn't always available in all ellipticals is the ability to go in reverse as well as forward. It's often useful to ride in reverse so that the opposite muscles you normally use to workout get some exercise too. This helps balance the body so not one half is stronger than the other. I would always advise a workout at high intensity on reverse for a short period.
One thing I have not seen on any other ellipticals is the foot angle adjustment you can do on this E95. As well as having the pedals at a 2 degree slope inward to reduce stress on the knees and ankles, this has been taken one step further. You can make a further adjustment which is done using a dial and means you can have the pedals suit the shape and angle of your feet personally.
As you can see by the picture the E95 rides on heavy duty rails, these can be seen at the back of the elliptical. These give the elliptical a more stable ride and provides extra sturdiness and stability. Also it means that your feet and legs will follow a straight natural path and not waiver on their course. I always like to see rails as the elliptical will last longer as well as well as the other benefits you have.
The maximum user weight is 400 lbs or 181 kg. This is the best I've seen and when you consider the price of this elliptical you'll agree that it makes it all the more remarkable. It's because of the rails and heavy duty frame that the E95 can support such a weight as this. If you're approaching this weight then exercise carefully and have an eating plan at the ready too.

The warranty is lifetime for the frame, 5 years parts and electronics, and 2 years labor. This is what you'd expect for this grade of elliptical. One thing is you won't find a longer in home labor than 2 years and that's the most important part of the warranty in my opinion. This gets 4 stars because I have seen longer than 5 years parts and electronics but that shouldn't put you off.
At the time of writing this E95 is $1,699.99. This is a fair price to pay for an elliptical of this quality. I would always say that is you want a decent elliptical for the home then this is around the price you need to pay. If you find the price ok for you then I would compare the overall scores. This actually scores the highest of any Sole Fitness elliptical and I think it's their best.
The score of 83% is good but then you're paying for a good elliptical. It's always the programs that let down the Sole ellipticals. So, as I've mentioned before, if you only ever use the manual program or the number of programs isn't a concern then do seriously consider this. It has a great maximum user weight and warranty and those things combined mean you have an elliptical that should stand the test of time.
So overall let's consider; you get a great console, a console that I was really impressed with, a console that will motivate you during your workouts as well as being easy to use. It has a lot of features I like, not enough for 5 stars but certainly very good, this elliptical has incline ramp technology which I'm keen on. So if you're considering purchasing this elliptical, you can do a lot worse than this E95.
